About Mrs Thorpe

I graduated from The University of Canberra with a Bachelor of Education in Primary Teaching. This is my sixth year teaching at Amaroo School and I love teaching more and more each year!

Some of my favourite things include chocolate, tea, the colour purple, gardening, Disney movies, listening to music and playing the guitar.

                                      

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband Jono, visiting my beautiful family, capturing special moments through photography, having a chat with friends over a cup of tea and relaxing on the couch watching TV.

My Teaching Philosophy

I consider it my privilege to provide students with the tools needed to build their learning, in order that it may not simply weather and decay when they leave the classroom – but instead, may stand strong as they embark on a journey of building learning that lasts a lifetime.

I believe that all children deserve…
